video production sessions tutorial 4 and 5

youtube allows you to search and view videos that have been posted all around the world. you can interact with other youtube members and share interests by leaving comments and rating videos. you are able to email and link to the videos on to you blog. within you tube you are able to save videos for later, find videos that you have watched recently, or even share your playlist within the world. within the home page it is divided into videos being watched, featured videos, most popular videos. this allows you to have a look at some of the videos there is to offer on youtube. i created a video to post on you tube, based on over coming assertiveness.

we as group used the a story board and scripting aid to help us/aided us in completing the video.

Scripting:
scripting is a way by which the thought and ideas of an author are transmitted to the audience. using scripts when planning a visual production, not just words are but the basis for everything that is both seen and heard and seen on the screen. This allowed us to identify the aim of the film and how the film would go. we did this by first deciding on a topic that was relevant to overcoming adversity. we came up with the concept of going through a push/pull door and reading the sign to over come the problem of not being able to get through the door. we were able to write down the key concepts of the video and this provided us with a template to follow once we began shooting.

Story Board:
Story board is a series of illustrations displayed in sequence for the purpose of visualizing what the film will be. it helped us see what the different camera shots would look like and ensure that that it is well constructed and how they all looked one after the other. it also meant that when it came to filming everyone knew what to do, so no one was confused.
